There are no real contradictions between modern clinical Western medicine and methods of Eastern, manual and traditional medicine.
All of them have the same goals, can and should be reasonably combined to obtain the maximum benefit for the patient. Rationalism and logic create the best result.

In all cases: modern laboratory and instrumental diagnostics provide opportunities that is not wise to neglect. It is necessary to study the methods of Eastern, manual and traditional medicine after a detailed examination of the patient's problems with modern diagnostic methods. First of all, we always try to clarify the diagnosis and avoid danger to the patient's wellfare. Timely diagnosis is the basis of successful treatment.

The development of the “outside-in” syndrome complex, as well as all acute conditions, a sharp deterioration in cardiovascular status (especially heart attacks, strokes, and the like), acute inflammatory and infectious diseases:
Modern methods of Western clinical medicine are essential in the first place. All other methods can only be used as temporary "until the arrival of an ambulance." Powerful means of Western medicine, including modern diagnostics and intensive care unit, will save one's life and health with a much greater probability. Methods of eastern, manual and alternative medicine should be relegated to the background and can be applied after stopping the health risk during the rehabilitation period.

The development of the syndromic complex “from the inside out” - the problem on an emotional level (psychological complexes, negative programs and dominants, the inheritance of “family education”):
This level is rarely analyzed by the patient himself/herself, but as a result, painful psychological states can arise that will be fixed and become chronic dominants, change the world of sensations and trigger pathological processes into action. If the patient feels the need for help from a clinical psychologist, that is a very senseful approach and it can help. But, unfortunately, this rarely happens.

Functional disorders before changes in organs and tissues: an ideal object for methods of Eastern, manual and traditional medicine. Initial organic disorders can also be well treated by the same methods, but this is already the moment of making more serious decisions. There is no need to examine and make a clinical diagnosis. For further treatment makes sense to combine all the possibilities.

Chronic diseases: it is also an ideal object for methods of oriental, manual and traditional medicine. The modern practice of Western medicine (especially if we are talking about insurance-based medicine) is limited to the relief of dangerous and acute conditions, and later it switches to symptomatic therapy. At the same time, our body fixes on a painful state, since it is focused on maintaining stability (the phenomenon of maintaining homeostasis) and the disease becomes chronic. Therefore, additional techniques can provide an opportunity to shift this balance in the direction of improvement up to full recovery.

SOME COMMENTS ON THE DEPARTMETS OF MEDICINE:
Allergology: many allergic diseases can be treated or stopped symptomatically with the methods of Eastern medicine, atopic forms of diseases are particularly well treated. However, an examination by an allergist is necessary, especially for allergies in children. In severe cases (especially at risk of anaphylactic shock), treatment using Western medicine is necessary, including call to ambulance and hospitalization.

Andrology: Eastern medicine has in its arsenal a large selection of herbal preparations and acupuncture methods in this area. But consultation of the urologist and the andrologist is also necessary, as well as the treatment they prescribed.

Algology: Oriental and manual methods of treatment work well for relief or complete relief of pain in many cases. It must be remembered that pain is only a symptom, so an examination to determine the cause is necessary.

Gastroenterology and coloproctology: for acute diseases, hospitalization and modern diagnostics are necessary. In chronic forms of the disease is also a mandatory modern diagnosis. Gastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy and laboratory tests can provide vital information. In addition, you must be aware of the mandatory oncological vigilance in this area. Methods of oriental and traditional medicine have a good arsenal of herbal preparations for chronic pathology, especially for digestive disorders. Manual visceral techniques can also bring significant benefits.

Gerontology: Eastern medicine has a large arsenal of gymnastic practices, massage and herbal preparations to help elderly patients.

Gynecology and obstetrics: an examination by a gynecologist and childbirth in the conditions of a western clinic is an indisputable benefit of our entire civilization. It has imperative application for the health and safety of women. Eastern medicine has many opportunities for additional assistance in gynecology and obstetrics. Osteopathy has excellent methods for helping pregnant women and preparing for childbirth, working with the female pelvis and preventing complications.

Dermatology: Chinese acupuncture copes well with many types of dermatitis and eczema, and there are many beneficial herbal preparations in the arsenal of oriental medicine. Consultation with a dermatologist and an allergist is needed in any case. Western medicine has a large set
powerful prescription medications and methods for severe cases of skin diseases.

Vertebrology: osteopathy and oriental medicine in most cases give an excellent result. We have for this a large arsenal of methods and gymnastic practices. In almost all cases, I ask patients to undergo MRI, which is the best diagnostic method available today and it ensures the patient against possible complications. In severe cases, patient might need to to turn to surgical care.

Immunology: Oriental medicine has immunomodulating herbal preparations and practices for rehabilitation.

Cardiology and Angiology: Modern Western medicine should play a major role in any case. It is to her that we owe a significant increase in life expectancy in developed countries. Full examination and modern treatment methods are required. Eastern, manual and alternative medicine have auxiliary value.

Physical therapy, balneology and massage: Oriental medicine and manual techniques are of paramount importance. In Western physiotherapy, it is possible to connect modern hardware rehabilitation methods and balneological procedures to them. This is a wonderful complex. We constantly use physiotherapy methods, infrared laser, ultrasound, electrophoresis give a good additional effect when applying the methods of oriental medicine. In addition, there are oriental methods of physical effects on both acupuncture points and general ones.

Narcology: auricular acupuncture offer effective recipes for quitting smoking and drinking alcohol, as well as many withdrawal symptoms and other problems of internal organs for quitting smoking, alcohol or drugs can be stopped by using eastern medicine.

Neurology: most of my patients belong to this department of medicine. Neuropathy, discogenic syndromes, paresis, paralysis, neuralgia, etc. This is a long list of syndromes that we treat with acupuncture and other methods of reflexology. Also manual medicine is used constantly in this area. Direct connection of this section with vertebrology and many common methods of diagnosis and treatment. Western neurology provides excellent diagnostic capabilities in studies of peripheral nerves and a large arsenal of drugs. Often, treatment begins with the use of Western medicine for rapid relief of the acute condition and intolerable pain, and then we switch to Eastern medicine methods. At the same time, the use of prescription medications to relieve inflammation, pain relief and nootropic drugs continues as the method changes.

Neonatology: we consider ostepatic methods of examination and treatment of newborns and young children practically obligatory, since the number of cranial injuries to the newborn during labor is very high, and pediatricians at the maternity hospital can only differentiate serious injuries such as clavicle fractures, etc. If the problems of damage to the skull of the newborn are not given proper attention, the result is a violation of liquorodinamine and venous outflow and all subsequent developmental problems, including cerebral palsy, ADHD, behavior disorder, etc., and then poor learning and its consequences.

Oncology: timely, early Western diagnosis and the whole range of possible Western treatment methods are required. All other methods need to be discussed with your oncologist and only applied after your oncologist's permission.

Orthopedics: we constantly use ostepathic methods of examination and treatment of the skeleton and joints in the practice of treatment. Modern Western medicine offers excellent methods of examination and surgical treatment if necessary. For example, Finnish surgery joints and the installation of joint implants has helped a large number of our friends and patients.

Otolaryngology: consultation of the otolaryngologist and diagnosis are important and mandatory. The methods of Eastern medicine give a lot and have an arsenal of medications and practices for treatment.

Pediatrics: the neurological problems of development in childhood and adolescents (trauma during labor, cerebral palsy, ADHD, etc.), osteopathy and reflexology techniques work fine. Often this is the only serious opportunity to help. This also applies to drug therapy. The combination of these methods can be the only way out. Children grow up quickly and the powerful strength of their development always helps in treatment, so they often lack significantly less effort. But you also need to understand that the danger of acute conditions in children, especially in infancy, requires close attention and immediate treatment at the hospital as soon as necessary.

Pulmonology: clinical examination is mandatory, there is a risk of inflammatory diseases, tuberculosis and oncological alertness. In old age, a combination of pathology of the heart and lungs is often found. In childhood there is always the possibility of allergic conditions. After diagnosis and elimination of health hazard, many methods of oriental medicine and its gymnastic practices give excellent results up to complete the recovery.

Resuscitation: Western resuscitation is very effective and mandatory in all cases. There is also a technique of resuscitation for acute conditions in acupuncture, which can be applied before the arrival of an ambulance or in cases when it is impossible to receive an ambulance and take the patient to the hospital.

Rheumatology: Rheumatism is a systemic disease that requires systemic medical treatment. Methods of Eastern medicine can be used as auxiliary for the treatment of arthritis and the correction of the general condition.

Sexology: Eastern medicine has in its arsenal preparations for symptomatic relief in this department of medicine. You also need to understand that this section directly intersects with gynecology, urology and andrology. Inspection is desirable in any case, because disorders of this type are directly dependent on the pathology in the urogenital area.

Somnology: Oriental medicine can be used as an auxiliary method, gymnastics, acupuncture recipes and TCM medications work well and can be an excellent alternative to Western drug therapy in many cases. Examination in the somnological clinic is desirable, it will give a lot of information about sleep disorders. Often the problem of night apnea is well compensated by CPAP devices.

Traumatology: ambulance, diagnosis and treatment in the hospital are required. During the period of rehabilitation after an injury, methods of oriental and manual medicine work perfectly well.

Urology: clinical examination is necessary, treatment by a urologist as well. Methods and preparations of oriental and traditional medicine can be auxiliary.

Pharmacology: TCM is the oldest pharmacopoeia in the world. The earliest extant written sources date from the 3rd century BC. The treatise Pen Cao (1578) contains a description of 1,892 types of medicine and 8,160 prescriptions. Prepared forms of Chinese drugs have been tested for effectiveness during long-term use. For the first time the Chinese Pharmacopoeia СhP was published in 1953. Since 1985, the publication of its updated versions is carried out every five years. The ChP is chaired by the Minister of Health of China, and the first deputy chairman is the General Director of the SFDA, which indicates the high status of ChP and the Chinese Pharmacopoeia in the country. The pharmacopoeia is published in three volumes, the first volume is devoted to traditional Chinese medicine (2,165 monographs). The English version of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia was first published in 1985, published every five years (6 issues).
